Baby Puppy Dog

1^st  NAF

Lovely baby puppy. Good proportion in head. Square, strong body. Excellent topline. Good bone. Shows and moves well for the age.

Minor Puppy Dog

1^st  Tyeanbo Celtic Thunder

Promising puppy of good size. Nice head and expression. Strong body. Good forechest. A bit long in loin. Moves well for the age.

2^nd  Valeska Big Wraps

Promising puppy. Square body. Nice head, wry mouth. Good bone. Angulations in balance. Moves and shows well.

Puppy Dog

1^st  Mavquade Brief Reign

Promising puppy. Excellent type and size. Beautiful head, needs better mask. Excellent body for the age. Moves and shows well.

2^nd  Campadown Secret Santa

High legged youngster. Nice head and expression. Needs better forechest and deeper chest. A bit long in loin. Shows well.

3^rd  Stronghold Worth To Wait

Good type. Square body. Should have better stop and rise of skull. Light eyes. Loose elbows spoils the movement. Shows well.

Novice Dog

1^st  Gremlix Dazzle With Style

Very nice type. Lovely head and expression. Elegant neck. Good topline. Short in body. Good forechest. Should be better angulated in rear. Moves well.

Junior Dog

1^st  Mavquade Courage On Target

Big and elegant male. Good type. Nice head. Should have better rise of skull. Excellent neck and topline. A bit long in loin. Moves well.

2^nd  Gremlix Razzle Dazzle

Nice type. Square body. Muzzle should be shorter and better filled. Elegant neck and good topline. Angulations in balance. Moves well when wants to.

Intermediate Dog

1^st  Denem Brief Counter At Madussa

Very nice type. Square and strong male. Skull too heavy and flat. Well filled muzzle. Excellent neck and topline. Excellent forechest. Good angulations and musculation. Moves well with good drive.

NZ Bred

1^st  CH Kandance Nitro Wild Card

Very good type, square body. Medium bone. Nice head. Small eyes, strong undershot. Excellent neck and topline. Well balanced angulations. Moves a bit close behind, otherwise well.

2^nd  CH Mavquade Fire N Rain

Very strong male, almost too heavy. Flat and broad skull. Light eyes. Good muzzle. Strong neck, level topline. Angulations in balance. Moves well.

Stud Dog

1^st  NZ & Aust CH Ozstock Socks N All

Excellent type and substance. Square body. Lovely head and expression. Strong neck. Good withers and short, level back. Good bone and angulations. Shows and moves very well.

2^nd  CH Gremlix Nudge Nudge Wink Wink At Bamburgh

Square male of very good type. Medium size and bone. Flat skull, muzzle should be filled better. Light eyes. Good body and angulations. Moves close behind.

Veteran Dog

Excellent type and condition. Very pleasing head, good bite. Excellent body, very good bone. Good musculation for the age. Moves very well.

2^nd  NZ CH Taratan Perfect Storm At Gremlix

Good type. Lovely condition for the age. Nice head and expression. Good topline. A bit long in body. Well angulated. Moves still well.

Very nice type. Medium size. Good bone. Lovely head and expression. Square in body. Well angulated. Moves with excellent drive.

Very good type. Excellent head and expression, good bite. Should be more square in body. Angulations in balance. Moves fluently.

Excellent type and size. Lovely head and expression. Excellent topline. Beautiful forechest and good substance in body. Excellent bone. Moves well but a bit close behind.

2^nd  CH Kandance Wild At Heart

Very nice type, good size. Good proportions in head. Needs better rise of skull. Beautiful neck, a bit soft in back. Good angulations. Moves and shows well.

Intermediate Bitch

1^st  Aramataz Dazzel In Diamonds

Very nice type and size. Square in body. Lovely head, good bite. Nice topline. Good bone and angulation. Moves well but needs more drive.

2^nd  Roski Letters To Juliet

Very strong female. Very good type. Should have better stop and rise of skull. Good mask. Elegant neck and good topline. Deep chest. Good bone and angulation. Moves fluently.

3^rd  Campadown Secret Whisper

Good type, rather big female. Needs better stop. Light eyes. Elegant neck and good topline. Long in loin. Well balanced angulations. Moves well.

Limit Bitch

1^st  Gremlix It Just Gets Better

Nice type and size. Should have better stop and rise of skull. Good bite. Strong body. Well balanced angulations. Moves well.

2^nd  Gremlix Its All About Me

Elegant female of very good type. Square in body. Nice expression but needs better stop and rise of skull. Elegant neck. Still soft in back. Needs better forechest. Loose in elbows. Well angulated behind. Needs to settle in movement.

NZ Bred Bitch

Excellent type, size and substance. Very pleasing head and expression. Excellent neck and topline. Beautiful forechest. Strong bone. Very well angulated. Moves and shows very well.

Brood Bitch

Strong female of excellent type. Excellent head and expression. Should be more square in body. Excellent forechest. Lovely topline. Very strong bone. Very well angulated, moves fluently with good drive.

Open Bitch

Very strong female of excellent type. Lovely head and expression. Should have stronger underjaw. Elegant neck. A bit long in loin. Straight upperarm. Very good bone. Moves and shows well.

2^nd  Roski Black Magic Woman

Excellent type and size. Strong body and bone. Good proportions in head. Should have better rise of skull. Needs better forechest. Loose in elbows. Moves well but wide in front.

The show was a most enjoyable experience and we extend our grateful thanks to all exhibitors. Our most grateful thanks

THE BOXER CLUB INC CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW CRITIQUES 

 27 NOVEMBER 2011

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me here to judge their specialty show and congratulate the exhibitors on their great sportsmanship.  The trophy table was excellent and my compliments to all those who worked so hard to make this show possible

and such an enjoyable event.

As I stated on the day, overall I felt the bitches were in better condition than the males.   I also feel you need to watch the movement on your Boxers and remember that form follows function.  The standard calls for a boxer that can move with reach and drive whilst

most of the exhibits here today were in excellent condition and well-muscled movement let some of them down.

You must also remember that this is my opinion and at the end of the day you are each taking home the best boxer because he or she is the one you love and care for.

My place selection and critique of these boxers is as follows:

BABY PUPPY DOG CLASS

1^st  3.Gremlix Dazzle With Style 3 month old red with white markings with a stylish well proportioned head, dark eyes, well placed ears and clean skull, well boned
and square body, ample angulation front and rear, correct tail set, in good condition, moved well for his age. Well presented and in lovely condition.

2^nd  2. Gremlix Razzle Dazzle 3 month old red with classic black face, dark eyes, good ear placement good bone and square body. Was a little naughty but just
being a boxer.

3^rd  1.Mavquade Courage On Target 4 month old red with white markings, head not quite as good as the first two and would have preferred more bone, very leggy
and looked stylish on the stack. 

PUPPY DOG CLASS

1^ST  4. Kadence Nitro Wild (AI)9 month old brindle puppy very nice type with classic well proportioned head, dark eyes, well placed ears, correct mouth, arched
neck flowed into well placed shoulders well angled for and aft with short back, good tail set.  Moved correctly with reach and drive and well presented. 
RESERVE CHALLENGE DOG

JUNIOR DOG CLASS

1^st  5.Paxis Conjuror’s Apprentice at Valeska (Imp UK) red brindle 16 months old, good head but would prefer less wrinkling on skull and eyes slightly better shape.
Well set ears, arched neck set into well-placed shoulders strong back correct tail set.  Moved out with reach and kept top line on the move but would like a little
more strength in hindquarters. Overall though a very good type.

INTERMEDIATE DOG CLASS

1^ST  6. Gremlix Back To The Future 2.1/2 year old red dog proportionate head with dark eyes, good mouth good reach of neck into shoulders but would prefer more
angulation in the front and a little less angulation in the rear, he looses his topline therefore does not complete the reach and drive a boxer should have. Well
presented and in good condition.

LIMIT DOG CLASS

1^ST. 7. Valeska Rip It Up At Garabella 3.1/2 year old brindle male with a white collar had an acceptable head well padded muzzle but lacked a little fill under the
dark eyes, broad skull, nice arched neck prefer more angulation in the front which would compliment the rear and give a more balanced appearance, good tail set
but on the move his rear action lets him down. In good condition.

NZ BRED DOG CLASS

1^ST  8. CH Mavquade Fire N Rain 4 years old red male of very good breed type, well boned with square appearance, well proportioned head dark eyes would prefer
a little less white on side of muzzle but still retains the required black muzzle outline, well set ears and arched neck flowed into well placed shoulders with correct
angulation front and rear, level topline correct tail set. He moved freely covering the ground with the correct reach and drive whilst retaining his topline.  Over all he is
a very well proportioned and very nice dog.  CHALLENGE DOG

STUD DOG CLASS

1^ST       9.  CH. Valeska Hoky Poky 4 year old red male also of square appearance, good head with dark eyes and lovely expression clean head well set ears, well
arched neck good bone, lacking a little angulation in front which showed in his movement, but in good condition well presented and cared for.  

VETERAN DOG CLASS

1^st  12. Sanlian Scotch On The Rocks 7 year old brindle male square dog with a lovely clean head, dark eyes, lovely expression without heavy wrinkling on skull,
well placed ears,slight arch of neck into shoulder, correct topline and good angulation moved well but slightly over weight.  A lovely veteran dog.

2^nd  10. NZ Ch Taratan Perfect Storm at Gremlix (Imp Aust) this 10 year old brindle male is in fantastic condition for his age, good clean head, dark eyes, well
placed ears well angulated front and rear.  He is a touch longer that I would like but for his age he moved very well another lovely veteran.

3^rd  11.Ch Valeska Who Ya Lookin At an 8.1/2 year old brindle male, clean well proportioned head, dark eyes,more thick set than the other veterans but moved well
for his age and another lovely old veteran.

OPEN DOG CLASS

1^ST  13. NZ & Aust Ch Ozstock Socks N All 5.1/2 year old brindle male very impressive dog on the stack with a reasonable head but slightly more cheeky than I
like, dark eyes and good ear placement, slightly arched thick set neck and slightly less angulation in front than in well angulated rear, had good top line and tail set,
however his movement lets him down.  Well presented.

BABY PUPPY BITCH CLASS

1^ST  14. Gremlix Its All About Me 5.1/2 month old brindle female with white markings has a lovely well proportioned head, good eye shape and colour, arched neck
into correct top line and well angled front and rear.  She is a very leggy bitch and appears to be entering the gangly stage, but she moved out well. Well presented in
 good condition.

2^nd  16.Gremlix Dare To Dazzle at Garabella 3 month old brindle and white bitch nice square bitch with great potential and a very feminie well proportioned head with
  dark eyes, good expression, well angled front and rear good tail set moved well for her age. A very smart little bitch.

3^rd  15. Mavquade Centre Stage a 3-month-old red bitch with a classic head and also a nice baby, prefer eyes a little rounder but she has pleasing expression.
  Good angulation front and rear correct tail set again moved well for her age and it was very close between 2 and 3.

PUPPY BITCH CLASS      

1^ST  17. Sivad Glamour A Go-Go 9 month old dark brindle very elegant bitch. Well proportioned head with lovely dark eyes and correct set on of ears, good mouth,
well placed neck into shoulders, level top line with ample angulation front and rear, moved out well with reach and drive over all a lovely bitch.

2^nd  18 Kadence Wild At Heart (AI) 9 month old red brindle bitch also a quality bitch with lovely head and dark eyes, a touch squarer than the 1^st placed bitch but
not as tall, good angulation in the front with correct tail set but would prefer a little more angulation in the rear, moved well, and very close between the two.

JUNIOR BITCH CLASS

1^ST  20.Rulin Million Dollar Baby 13 month old dark brindle bitch very elegant, very tall for her age but lovely head dark eyes, expression showing just enough
wrinkle on skull, good depth of chest, well placed neck into shoulder sufficient angulation front and rear.  Correct set on of tail and moved well around the ring.

2^nd  19. Roski Letters to Juliet 12 month old red brindle bitch with classic black face, good shaped head but unfortunately lost expression because of her eyes,
would prefer more height in front good angulation in the rear did not move as well as the first bitch.

INTERMEDIATE BITCH CLASS

1^ST  22.Arazmataz Dazzle In Diamonds 2 year old red brindle bitch with the correct head, excellent mouth, dark eyes and clean skull, well placed neck into
shoulders, and square body with good angulation front and rear. Moved well overall a nice bitch.

2^nd  21.Sivad Spellbound 2 year old this also a quality bitch but prefer her a little shorter in the loin not the squareness of the first bitch, Good head but a little too
much flews for a bitch, pleasant expression, good neck and angulation, well prepared and well presented, would just like her a touch shorter.

LIMIT BITCH CLASS

1^st 23. Roski Black Magic Woman 18 month old bitch with square outline, a bit unsettled on the day but good square clean head not over wrinkled, arched neck into
well placed shoulders with ample angulation front and rear correct top line, moved well another lovely bitch.

2^nd 24. Gremlix Nu Orlens Blues 17 month old  bitch with square outline a little soft on the top line,  a lovely clean classic head, not over wrinkled, dark eyes, slightly
straight in front and well angled rear , her movement let her down and she did not retain her top line on the move.

NZ BRED BITCH CLASS

1^ST  26. Sanlian Fancy An Encounter at Denem 21 month old dark brindle bitch,in excellent condition, with well proportioned head and excellent mouth, expressive
dark eyes, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, kept her strong top line on the move and moved out very well.  Very smart bitch well presented.
RESERVE CHALLENGE

2^nd 25. Ch Denem Shakespeares Juliet 6 year old red brindle bitch not quite in the condition as the first one but she is much older, again good square head but
prefer darker and tighter eyes as the eyes distract from the expression, short upper arms causing wrinkling over the shoulder, rear angulation sufficient, rest of the
top line and tail set OK. 

BROOD BITCH CLASS

1^ST. 27 Ch Sivad A Thing Called Love 5 year old dark brindle bitch with well proportioned head and an excellent mouth, expressive dark eyes, well placed ears,
arched neck, again well angled would prefer her a little shorter in the loin, level top line moved well.  She is a quality bitch

2^ND 28 Gremlix Southern Lady 4 year old square red and white bitch with a pleasant square head but would like more fill under the eyes, and more bone, did not
retain topline on the move due to unbalanced angulation.

OPEN BITCH CLASS

1^ST  30 Gr Ch Kadence Luv At First Sight 3 year old dark brindle bitch which oozes quality, lovely head piece with correct proportions, excellent mouth, with
expressive dark eyes well placed ears, arched neck into well placed shoulders, well angled front and rear, level top line and square body, good musculation, correct
tail set.  Moved with reach and drive this girl is all Boxer.  Expertly handled as well.   CHALLENGE BITCH

2^nd  29 Valeska Ooh La La 21 month old red brindle bitch another quality bitch who also has a good well proportioned head with dark eyes, lovely expression, well
placed ears, good front, top line and tail set, she also moved well and was a very showy bitch.  Also expertly handled.
